Why I Love Today
More from Ericka Villalobos - Ocean City, NJ
... in my home. More than your stories, your personalities and combined energy give viewers hope, maybe even something to aspire to? Your stories have the potential to keep people informed, cultured, tolerant, smiling, and, even, grateful; all in the eye of the beholder, of course. It's just nice to have personable people delivering news. Even when it's negative news, it is delivered in a sincere way. Maybe it's the writer in me, but I love to watch how everyone presents a story, and where their attention to detail takes us. I respect that the stories are not drawn out as the reporter sees them, but are presented in an objective light--at least, as much as humanly possible. I remember hearing a quote from Ida B. Wells when I was still in grade school that I've carried with me ever since--"The people must know before they can act, and there is no educator to compare with the press." Thank you for using the power of writing and reporting to contribute to the greater good. I hope you all realize the true success you have already reached through such contributions.
