Some found Kate Hudson’s quick change from reunion relationship with Owen Wilson to new fling with Lance Armstrong shocking, but none more so that Owen himself. Life & Style reports just how the romance switcheroo happened.

“Owen didn’t think things were over with Kate until he heard about Lance,” a pal of Owen’s told the magazine. “It was a startling blow.”

None of it came as a surprise to the cyclist, though. Lance, as the pal assured, set out to win Kate’s heart. “Lance is a smart guy. He figured out the things about Owen that bothered Kate, and he used them to his advantage.”

Having inside information helped, and Lance, who’s been friends with Owen for years, had plenty of that. For instance, Lance knew that Owen liked to keep his private life private, and he knew Kate wasn’t satisfied with keeping their relationship hush hush.

“Kate felt like she and Owen were always hiding,” the insider said. “Lance made it clear to her in the beginning that he wanted to show her off, and Kate like that a lot.”

Lance also knew Owen wasn’t much for romantic trappings, so he showed Kate that he could “wine and dine a lady.” Thanks to that, “he totally won Kate over.”

Miley grounded by mom
Being a teen celebrity comes with some perks, but it doesn’t buy a free pass with mom. According to Star magazine, that’s a lesson Miley Cyrus learned when her mother, Tish, grounded the “Hannah Montana” actress.

“Miley is getting too big for her britches and had to be taken down a notch,” a family friend told the publication. “Tish and Miley got into a big fight, and Tish banned Miley from any non-work-related activities and took her computer away. That means no shopping, no sleepovers and no chat rooms!”

Allegedly Miley and her mom’s war of words started over the teen’s tendency to post flirty messages on MySpace. “When Tish found out, she confronted Miley, who snapped, ‘Get off my back!’ She’s also been using inappropriate language and Tish has had enough of that.”

Tish had enough of playing the bad guy, too, as the friend claims Miley may not be the only famous Cyrus in trouble.

“Tish was really steamed after their last fight. When she was done screaming at Miley, she snapped at Billy (Ray), ‘You better be with me on this, or you’ll be in the doghouse too!’”

Disney star is saving herself for marriage
Buzz has it “Wizard’s of Waverly Place” star Selena Gomez is set to become Disney’s next Miley. Just don’t expect Miley 2.0 to pack the controversial punch as her famous peer.

Selena spoke to Extra TV about her plan to remain squeaky clean, and the pledge she made to her father about remaining a virgin until she marries.

“I said, 'Dad, I want a promise ring,’” Selena explained. “He went to the church and got it blessed. He actually used me as an example for other kids. I'm going to keep my promise to myself, to my family and to God.”

Dish on the fly
Newlyweds Beyoncé Knowles and Jay-Z recently received some helpful advice from pal Snoop Dogg. “I told them to go home and make babies,” Snoop said in quote posted to People.com. “They should, that's the next step as far as marriage, having kids ... add on to the family, so hopefully that's what they'll do.” … Kevin Spacey, who’s currently making the rounds in support of his HBO film “Recount,” has an entourage fit for a diva. “He's got bodyguards, several publicists, a makeup artist, a personal hairdresser, someone who's styling him,” an insider revealed to Page Six. “There are so many people, it's ridiculous.” … Acting isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, according to Casey Affleck. “Making movies for me is like taking medicine,” the “Gone Baby Gone” star told the Daily Mirror. “It doesn't always taste good, but if you don't do it, you're going to feel worse. Some people have fun making movies, I don't understand that. I never have fun.”
