The Deal
Bermuda’s cruise season winds down in October. But have no fear. With just about two months to go, it’s still possible to sign up for a fall break to this hook-shaped chain of islands off the coast of North Carolina. Even better, you can book these end-of-season trips and partake of Bermuda’s charms — pink sand beaches, anyone? — at discounts of more than half off. We found a selection of seven-night cruises with price reductions of up to 61 percent.

Set sail from Boston at 58 percent off
While U.S. history buffs will particularly appreciate the itinerary on this cruise by Norwegian Cruise Lines, everyone will enjoy savings up to 58 percent off. The seven-night excursion aboard Norwegian Dream begins in Boston. After a day at sea, you’ll reach your destination —the UNESCO World Heritage Site city of St. George, whose citizens smuggled gunpowder to George Washington in exchange for food during the Revolutionary War. Four days later, it’s back to port in Massachusetts after an additional day of cruising. Interior cabins on the October 26 sailing cost just $549. For an extra $20 you can claim an oceanview stateroom on the same trip.

New York departures from $649
Another Norwegian Cruise Lines excursion at deep discounts of 61 percent comes courtesy of CruisesOnly. Interior cabins on the October 26 sailing are going for only $649. That’s $1,000 off rack rates! Setting sail from New York, the Norwegian Dawn will drop anchor at King’s Wharf. You’ll have three days to explore from this western port town on Ireland Island, with its rich naval history and great snorkeling. You’ll also be able to take full advantage of onboard activities during the ship’s three days at sea. Don’t want to miss Halloween? Rates on the October 19 voyage start at an only slightly higher $679.

Five nights with Royal Caribbean
For a five-night sail with two ports of call, check out this Royal Caribbean journey. Embarking from Boston, the Jewel of the Seas first stops in Hamilton, the pastel-hued capital of Bermuda’s main island. Then, it’s on to King’s Wharf before nightfall, where the ship docks for entire two days. The itinerary also includes two days at sea to enjoy your home at sea. The price tag for inside cabins on the October 23 cruise is $699. Sound good? Don’t miss this opportunity — it’s the only departure date until next year.

The dollars
The above prices include all onboard accommodations, meals, entertainment, and port charges. The quotes are per person and based on double occupancy. Government fees and taxes and off-ship expenditures are the responsibility of the travelers.

The catch
Bermuda can be pricey — especially for tourists.
